Amaya Papaya

if you scroll down in this post to a bw photo of a baby that is Amaya. This is her nowadays. Her laugh is deadly contagious and I think she knows it because she makes a face like she's trying to hold it back and save it for just the right moment. It had been a long time since I had babysat a baby (since my niece bella was born which was years ago) so I had forgotten the very short amount of free time you have before they want to do something else. She only survived about 3 wardrobe changes before she started to get sleepy. I'm just glad I was able to get some photos before she called it quits for the day. Her mom and dad are good friends of ours and they have another daughter, Mara, who is best friends with my niece. They've relocated to Seattle and we really miss them.

I've Felt Better

So I've started making things out of felt. Most of them will probably be for Bella to play with but some are just so damn cute I'll probably give them away as gifts too. I'll take better pictures tomorrow and update this post.

The penguin was the first thing I made. It belongs to an idea that i had sketched out of penguins dressed up in cute things. I realized after its funky result that I should practice first and create later. The toast was second and its crooked but I still like it. The panda was the fourth thing I made.

This is the 3rd thing I made. I think it took twice as long because i misinterpreted a stitch. Bella loves it though. So do I, how could you deny pink frosting.

These are one of the reasons why I got into this hobby, felt food is soooo cute. Although I messed up on that strawberry half, its butt is flat.

These are some chocolates, I will make more put them in mini cupcake cups and put them in a box as maybe a gift or for bella and then I'll just make more for a gift.

went to watch sex and the city movie with ri, mon and tash. I liked it a lot. Then went to mass and had dinner with Ria at Proa

went to visit Tess and RJ and their new baby Maya

Bella was glad to play with her friend Mara, im not sure what she's zoning out on here

also went to visit Lucille in the hospital as she welcomed her new baby boy Rynier

made smoked salmon in cream sauce with fettucini noodles

May-day

This past weekend was busy.

Mish asked Leevin and I to take some photos at Relay for Life. Ok not only was i running late but I totally forgot my memory card. Leevin was nice enough to lend me his. My sister came later and brought mine a long. I also forgot to charge my battery so by the time it came to take photos of the Luminerias I was running low on power.

you purchase one of these bags and decorate it for someone you know who had cancer and they put candles inside, light them, turn off the lights on the field and have a moment of silence.

Then Pennys wedding was the next day. I had a lot of fun hanging out and helping out. Penny was so purdyful. Can I just have a wedding party without actually getting married? For photos see previous blog entry.

Then Lucilles surprise baby shower was the following day. It was fun, good food, fun games, good wine, party party.

On memorial day I went around and hung out with Ria which is always a blast. We were supposed to window shop yeah but that went to shiet quickly. We ended up leaving the GPO with two bags of house and kitchen stuff and two bags of shoes (you can never NEVER have enough shoes). I should've brought my camera.

Took some photos of bella. She was still getting over a cold though, as was I so it went downhill fairly quickly especially since the weather kept changing, sunny one minute, overcast next... oh and it gave me a chance to use the lens that Nimai sent me (thanks so much again nimi!)

She started to get bored here...

Trying new recipes out this week, getting tired of my old ones, need something new. Tonight I made sweet chili crab cakes with avocado lime salsa

Penny and Anthony's Wedding

I decided to make a slideshow because its late and i wanted to post this and and and im too lazy to upload and code in 30 some photos.
Anywho these are just some photos I was able to take on Penny's wedding day, if you wonder where the reception photos are beyond Marky about to devour his food, lets just say i got a hold of Uncle Robs pro cam and flash that I totally abandoned mine to have fun with it.

Extreme

So we set out Saturday morning to go take some pictures with Jen and Leevin and Mish. I've never been up to the channel 10 spot in Nimitz before and at first I thought where the hell is Leevin taking us this is how scary stories start. But it ended up being a cool place. Although it was full of red dirt and squishy mud (Mish "I think I'm sinking") it has great views from up there. I realized that I didnt step back and take any full scale shots of that rock. And as I went through it I actually dont have one of the rock itself but only of Leevins hike to it:

Galavanting in the South

Last last weekend we went down south to take some photos with Penny, Jen and Heidi (new zealander who was visiting) and a fellow flickrererer photographer friend person Leevin. Starting Over

Im starting over here. I seem to be starting over almost everywhere. Trying to leave certain things behind me with the hope that it'll help me move on. I'm not entirely sure if it is working because I think some days I illude myself into thinking that I am fine and things will be ok and then I catch myself replaying the incidents that lead up to this over in my head and then I feel this unspeakable depression. It's a physical condition, like grief or being kicked in the shin, after you've been hit by a train, that was lit on fire, by someone who had syphillis and spit in your mouth. Not that I'm bitter...or anything ;)
